SHUVRA TALUKDER

Shuvra Talukder (b. 1996, Sunamganj, Bangladesh) is a Dhaka-based visual artist specializing in painting, watercolor, and installation art. He earned both his Master of Fine Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees from the University of Development Alternative (UODA) and has been actively participating in both national and international exhibitions. His works have been shown in prominent venues such as Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Bangladesh National Museum, Shah Alam Gallery of Fine Arts, as well as international platforms in Japan and Nepal. Talukder’s practice reflects a commitment to exploring contemporary visual languages, often combining traditional techniques with experimental approaches.

Throughout his career, Shuvra Talukder has attended numerous art camps and workshops, including international programs in Sikkim and specialized watercolor and Chinese painting workshops in Bangladesh. He has received multiple awards recognizing his artistic contributions, including top prizes at international exhibitions and honors for his work in UODA’s annual art programs. In 2022, he served as Chief Executive Officer at the 3D Art Museum, Bangabandhu Military Museum, Dhaka, and co-curated the installation exhibition Stigmatized Day at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Shuvra Talukder continues to engage with collaborative projects and educational initiatives, establishing himself as a dedicated and versatile figure in Bangladesh’s contemporary art scene.
